I love Australia, but then of course I am biased. If you are intending to visit our wonderful country for any extended period of time, I suggest that you get yourself an Australian SIM card. If you are travelling here for business or for pleasure and you are going to be here for anything longer than a couple of weeks then you need an Australian SIM and cell phone.
The purpose of this article is to explain to you why this is the case. There are three reasons outlined below:
* You Will Not Have to Pay Any Roaming Charges- If you use your home cell phone in Aus, then you will most likely pay roaming charges. You will pay to receive calls. This is outrageous. You should buy an Australian SIM card to avoid these costs.
* You Will Be Easily Contactable in Australia- If you are in Australia for an extended period of time, chances are someone will need to contact you whilst you are here. It will look a bit weird if you are trying to use your home cell phone number. Aussie business owners will not want to ring an international mobile number. Get one of our SIM’s and you stay easily in touch.
* You will save a fortune on your cell phone calls- Using your home cell phone will cost you a fortune. You will pay exorbitant rates for outgoing calls and you will pay to receive calls. Do yourself a favour as you would prefer to keep your money in your own pocket.
If you are travelling to Australia for business or leisure, do yourself a favour and get a SIM card when you get off the plane. Alternatively, order it before you get here. Just make sure you get one.
