With the proliferation of cell phone ownership a resulting impact on driving safety is occurring. Mobile phones make another distraction for drivers who already attempt questionable feats like eating while driving, applying makeup while driving, or you may even see people trying to read while driving. All the distractions can cause injury or even death, yet they are choices that could be avoided. These activities do not need to happen while driving, yet people continually choose to do them. As cell phones are not going away anytime soon and people will not stop using their mobile phones while driving might as well try to make it as safe as possible.
One of the first things someone can do to be safer while driving is to get familiar with their cell phone. Many phones come with voice activation that gets ignored, never programmed. Similarly, there are one-button speed dial options on most phones. Using these options will make one much safer while driving.
