I am growing pretty sick and tired of everybody always complaining about cell phones. I am going to put a new twist on the cell phone debate. I believe cell phones are helping people build better relationships, stay in touch with more people and at the same time allowing people to spend more time with their friends and family. Cell phones have become a staple in society, just like the computer. If you don’t have my cell phone number, then chances are you will never be talking to me. I have a young active family and we are always on the go, and unless you want to talk to me at 11pm, then you better have a cell phone so I can call you on the go.

Let me defend my 3 points.

Point one: Cell phones help people build better relationships. I love the random phone calls from my children at 4 in the afternoon. Although some of the calls are to tell me that the one is picking on the other, some of them are to ask me if I am going to be home in time to go to their soccer game that night. Sometimes they call just to tell me about their school field trip, how they did on their spelling test that day or if I have loosened my stance on getting another dog. Regardless of the purpose, I love the calls from them. Those little calls from my wife and kids help put into perspective what is really important in my life.

I love Australia, but then of course I am biased. If you are intending to visit our wonderful country for any extended period of time, I suggest that you get yourself an Australian SIM card. If you are travelling here for business or for pleasure and you are going to be here for anything longer than a couple of weeks then you need an Australian SIM and cell phone.

The purpose of this article is to explain to you why this is the case. There are three reasons outlined below:

* You Will Not Have to Pay Any Roaming Charges- If you use your home cell phone in Aus, then you will most likely pay roaming charges. You will pay to receive calls. This is outrageous. You should buy an Australian SIM card to avoid these costs.
* You Will Be Easily Contactable in Australia- If you are in Australia for an extended period of time, chances are someone will need to contact you whilst you are here. It will look a bit weird if you are trying to use your home cell phone number. Aussie business owners will not want to ring an international mobile number. Get one of our SIM’s and you stay easily in touch.
